Quality system

Leave nutting to chance

A vivid green kernel is valuable only when its physical and food-safety performance can be trusted. The PEZTEH sequence is direct: test, verify, document and release.

Test · Verify · Document · Release

Pistachio kernel samples and glassware in a food testing laboratory
01

Three simultaneous requirements

01

Beauty

Natural green color, controlled size, whole-kernel integrity, low defects and clean appearance.

02

Safety

Traceable lots, representative sampling, laboratory testing, contaminant control and documented release.

03

Consistency

Alignment between the approved sample, the delivered lot and repeat orders.

02

Typical testing program

  • Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2 and Total Aflatoxin
  • Aerobic plate count or total viable count
  • Yeast, mould, coliforms and E. coli where requested
  • Salmonella according to the agreed standard
  • Multi-residue pesticide screen and heavy metals where required
  • Moisture, physical defects and foreign material
03

Release philosophy

We prefer numerical results and defined tolerances to vague pass statements. A commercial lot is released against the buyer’s specification, destination requirements and the agreed documentation checklist.
